The complex is immaculately landscaped and maintained with beautiful gardens and has a relaxed resort like ambience.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD The Surin/Bangtao neighbourhood is a vibrant upmarket area with luxury hotels, beach bars and restaurants. Surin’s main street has an Italian deli/cafe/bakery Bocconcino serving good coffee.

Directly across is Surin Plaza, which houses a number of gorgeous resort wear boutiques Lola, Ginger, Tryst, Baru & Andara.

Across the road from Surin Plaza check out Paul Ropp, Chandra and Melisanaa. Many more boutiques are to be discovered along Surin’s main road.

Head back towards Surin Beach to find lovely Kaanda’s Swimwear just before the turn into Surin Beach.
200 metres away is, Bangtao Beach, a magnificent 8km stretch of calm, shaded.

The the northern tip of the beach (Layan) is where visitors may have it to themselves.
Just a 10-minute stroll is the casuarina-lined Surin Beach.

Precautions must be taken when swimming during the months of June to October when the surf can be rough with dangerous rip tides. During November to May, Surin’s clear waters are great for snorkeling or kayaking, boogie boarding and surfing.
Just 15-minutes drive from Surin is Laguna where you will discover restaurants, bars and the beautiful Laguna Golf Course. Laguna also houses Boat Avenue Mall with one of the best supermarkets on the island Villa Supermarket offering all your imported delicacies, together with speciality shops, a hairdresser (Kut it), beauty salons, bike shop, Cafés and the newly opened Absolute You for yoga, pilates and spin classes.
Some of the island’s finest antiques can be found on the road to Laguna.

The open-air village markets are also worth visiting, if only to take in the sights and sounds of a typical Thai bazaar. While many fine dining options exist within Laguna’s resorts, a decent range of bars and restaurants have also sprung up outside of the Laguna area in the last 10 years.
Heading south, from Bangtao is Kamala and beyond is Patong ( 30 minutes drive approximately to Patong depending on traffic). Patong is a major shopping hub with vibrant nightlife and 24-hour services.

The Jungceylon mega mall houses a plethora of retailers, restaurants and a cinema.
GETTING AROUND From the airport, we can arrange your airport pick up to the apartment at a cost of THB800.
The best way to get around the island to enjoy the ultimate freedom is to hire a motorcycle for 250 baht/day. Otherwise, you can rent a car for THB1,000 and up for a small Jazz or the likes.

If you are not keen on driving, another option is to hire a driver, especially if you are planning to visit multiple locations. Make sure you agree the fare prior to departing. Taxi stands do exist and have fixed prices to various locations, but taxis can be quite pricey in Phuket.

HOUSE RULES & GENERAL INFO Take off your shoes when entering B23. Please leave the dirt from outside at the front door.
Do not turn on the ceiling fans by using the chain. They turn on at the wall.
The terrace door can be left open with the screen door closed so mozzies don’t get in. Always close the windows at the front door and spare room when you go out as when it rains it pours in that side.
If you are using air cons or fans, turn them off when you leave the condo. It not only saves you money, but it also saves the planet. Do not hang towels over the railings. There are racks to dry your clothes.
All the power plugs at B23 are international.
There is an IPOD for music. The code is 1264 and you can connect to my Apple Music account and play any music you like. There is a button next to the speaker on the cabinet that you press for the speakers to turn on. It needs to be green. My concierge will show you this.
There are many DVDs in the drawers. The concierge will also show you how to turn on the TV and and play the DVDs.
My cat Pucci lives on the terrace. The maid comes every second day to clean the house and will clean her sandbox and feed her.

The screen door is always closed so she doesn’t come into the house and most days she sleeps on the neighbors terrace.

Of course if you like cats bring her into the house and shower her with cuddles as she is super super affectionate.

Just make sure she can get to her sand box at anytime.
It is super important that young children wear nappies in the pool and are supervised at all times.
All rubbish is to be put into the bins and not left on the concrete floor of the garbage areas. This is very unhygenic.

There can be power cuts from time to time which are beyond our control. Khun Maew at the BBG office will always have information of what is going on. There is a big candle on the dining table that can be lit.
